Dr. Daniel E. Goodman, Interim Pastor

Daniel E. Goodman holds the Bob Shepherd Chair of New Testament Interpretation in the School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University. Prior to joining the faculty at Gardner-Webb, Dr. Goodman taught for nine years at Palm Beach Atlantic University, including two years as Director of Campus Ministries and Associate Dean of the School of Ministry. His primary academic/research interests include the study of Christian origins, Jesus and the gospels, the parables, and Jewish-Christian dialogue. Dr. Goodman has served as Interim Pastor at Baptist churches in New York, New Jersey, and Florida in addition to frequent supply preaching and teaching throughout North Carolina. He and his wife, Barbara, have two sons, Daniel and Dylan, and reside in Boiling Springs, NC.

Reverend Donald N. Welborn, Minister of Music and Senior Adults

Don is in his 33^rd year serving as Minister of Music. He is a graduate of Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He directed the United States Air Force SAC Chorus, SAC Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska 1960-64. Mr. Welborn is active in 40 ministries at Calvary Baptist Church. His ministry involves directing choirs of all ages, worship leader, voice lessons and work with Senior Adults. donaldwelborn@calvaryasheville.com

Stuart Greene, Minister of Youth

Stuart Greene is our Minister of Youth. He has served at Calvary for the last four years and comes to us with 14 years of ministry experience. He has an extensive background in both church and parachurch ministry, with such organizations as Youth for Christ and Young Life. Stuart has also done a substantial amount of work with special population students in wilderness and outdoor experiential education settings with Project SOAR. He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University, majoring in religious education and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity. Stuart believes in fostering good discipleship, bible study, and work ethic among young people in preparation as tomorrow's Christian leaders. stuartgreene@calvaryasheville.com

Elmer E. Perry, Jr., Children's Ministry Coordinator

Elmer has been teaching and serving as a leader to children in our church since 2000 and previously served in another church for six years. He has volunteered his time over these eleven years to be a children's Sunday School teacher, Children's Church leader, leader in puppet ministry, and a leader in Wednesday night children's programs. Elmer was hired as a full–time Children's Ministry Coordinator in April 2005. Elmer has complete the Preschool and Children Certification program through Campbell University and the NC Baptist State Convention. elmerperry@calvaryasheville.com
