This Sunday, we will help Brian Allen pack lunch bags for his homeless ministry. Meet in the Candler Center at 3 PM.

Disaster Relief

Hurricanes, floods, tornados, and fires are example of times when people’s lives are changed by events they have no control over. During these times people need the help of good people, and the love of God. There are many organizations who help with disaster relief. Through these organization, people get the food, water, and shelter they need in times of disaster.

As God’s children, we should be willing to help those around us who are in need, especially those who have lost their home due to hurricane, fire, floods, and tornados.

Care Package For Victoria

Everyone needs to bring a gift for Victoria next week, April 29. We will be sending her a package. Some ideas of the things they can use:

  • Pencils, pens, paper
  • Story books (for her sisters)
  • Small toys for her sisters
  • Hair bows, brushes, etc

In selecting items, remember that they have to travel all the way to Africa. No candies that might melt. When selecting items keep in mind the ages of the girls:

Victoria—age 13-16
Josephine and Jessica—age 5-7

Bible Verse:

“Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes not only me but also my Father who sent me.”

Mark 9:37 (NLT)

A Cup of Water

Many people in the world do not have clean water to drink or cook with.  In Southeast Asia after the 2004 tsunami, many people were left without fresh water.  Christians, like Sam Bandela have been working to help them people get fresh water, rebuild, and learn to provide for their families by teaching them skills they can use.

We many times take for granted the things we have.  Many in the world do not have good drinking water, much less running water.  All creatures need water to survive, and man is no different.  Thanks to people like Sam, many now have fresh water to drink.

Bible Verse:

“Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes not only me but also my Father who sent me.” —Mark 9:37 (NLT)

Egg Stuffing

Wednesday, April 1

On April 1, we will finish the task of stuffing Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt on  April 4. Decided to take two meetings this year so we don’t have to rush through it, and to allow time for other things.

This is always a lot of fun.
